What does a branding project cost in the UK?

A clear way to compare branding quotes, understand what changes the price and avoid paying for the wrong scope.

Price follows the decision load

A simple identity refresh and a full strategic rebrand are different jobs. Cost rises when the work includes research, naming, positioning, stakeholder interviews, multiple markets, a large application system or migration across an existing business. Ask every supplier to separate thinking, design, production and rollout.

Compare scope, not totals

Two quotes with different prices may not cover the same work. Check the number of concepts, feedback stages, decision-makers, deliverables, file formats, usage rights, font or image licences, templates, guidelines, launch support and handover. Ambiguity at the start is usually expensive later.

Budget for implementation

The brand file is not the finished change. Websites, packaging, signage, presentations, photography, social templates and printed materials may require separate production. Keep a rollout budget and prioritise the customer touchpoints that influence trust or conversion first.

Protect value with a clear brief

Define the business problem, audience, current evidence, required applications, deadline, internal approver and budget range. A strong brief helps a studio recommend the smallest useful scope and reduces time lost to unnecessary options.

Use a decision test

Choose the proposal that best explains the problem, method, responsibilities, milestones, rights and intended business change. Attractive examples matter, but the safest buying signal is a process that connects creative decisions to real use.
